Wayne Callahan

Bio

Wayne was born and raised in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. After brief stints in Madison and Minneapolis, he eventually came west, to La Grande, Oregon, to study art and work on music. He met several like minded art students who were also musicians and he and fellow artist Bill Atwood began the musical experimentation which would eventually form Test Audiences, which would also include Bill’s wife, Annie Eskelin. Test Audiences would swell to as large as eight members at times, but the core of Wayne, Bill and Annie always remained until Bill and Annie decided to pursue their creative endeavors in Alaska. Wayne continues to play bass in City of Animals with former Test Audiences members, Jeff Grammer and Avery Hook. Wayne’s new project is the Correspondence School, which is based on the idea of an open membership. He has slowly been sculpting a solo album/Correspondence School album which will be out very soon.
